Stanford Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine & Imaging (AIMI)

Stanford has established the AIMI Center to develop, evaluate, and disseminate artificial intelligence systems to benefit patients. We conduct research that solves clinically important imaging problems using machine learning and other AI techniques.

HEA3RT – Stanford Healthcare AI Applied Research Team

Our work covers a broad range of aims centered on the development and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that solve important, practical problems for patients, providers and health systems. 

We work with clinical, operational, and technical teams to advance the development of clinically relevant models, leveraging quality improvement, implementation science, design thinking, and traditional research methods.

Medical Intelligence Society (MIS)

Medical Intelligence Society was created in 2020 to offer a venue for clinicians interested in data science and artificial intelligence. MIS supports the active discussion of a multitude of cutting edge technologies, courses, journal articles and virtual meetings.

They’ll be holding their second annual MIS Summit July 30-31, 2021.

Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute (MI3)

The Sharon Disney Lund Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute (MI3) at CHOC is a unique and first-of-its-kind institute that creates, focuses and executes projects in the areas of intelligence and innovation in pediatric medicine. These two interrelated disciplines, extremely limited in development in the pediatric realm, hold great promise to change the trajectory of pediatric care around the world.

MI3 aims to foster robust developments in artificial intelligence methodologies, as well as innovative advances in emerging areas such as genomic medicine, regenerative medicine, robotics, nanotechnology and medical applications/devices. MI3 is dedicated to empowering data intelligence and medical innovation at CHOC, and driving innovation leadership in the international pediatrics community.

Octane

Octane is a convening organization of the Southern California technology and medical technology business ecosystem by connecting people, resources and capital. We will help create 55,000+ high paying technology jobs in Southern California by 2030 through our accelerator LaunchPad as well as our platform Octane Enterprise Solutions (OES). In addition, Octane hosts dozens of programs throughout the year and has direct access to capital and partners. We believe that action focused locally has impact globally.
